Barbara Brennan
School of Healing
Barbara Brennan, the founder of this school and a former NASA scientist, is a Senior Pathwork Helper and a graduate of the Core Energetics program. Her healing work using the Human Energy Field is outlined in her best-selling books Hands of Light (New York: Bantam Books, 1987), and Light Emerging (New York: Bantam Books, 1993). Core Energetics makes use of important Pathwork concepts, such as the Higher Self, Lower Self, and Mask Self. John Pierrakos, MD, [photo] originally developed Core Energetics, combining Bioenergetics -- which he developed jointly with Alexander Lowen -- and elements of the Pathwork. After he met and married Eva, John was very closely involved with the Pathwork. After Eva's death in 1979, the Pathwork and Core Energetics developed somewhat separately for a number of years. In recent years, and until his death in 2001, John Pierrakos was a Trustee of the Pathwork Foundation, helping to bring relations between Core Energetics and the Pathwork closer together.
